The mission of The Confident Crown Initiative is to reduce barriers to essential hair-loss support by providing fully funded custom wigs, specialized cranial prostheses, and care kits at no cost to eligible recipients, while helping address gaps in insurance coverage.

What the Program Provides

Custom Wigs: Providing fully funded, high-quality wigs and related care solutions for eligible individuals experiencing hair loss associated with medical or other documented conditions.

Specialized Cranial Prostheses: Delivering specialized, medical-grade cranial prosthesis tailored to individuals experiencing significant or total hair loss, based on individual needs and eligibility.

Personalized Confidence Consultations: Private, compassionate one-on-one consultations, fittings, and styling support to help recipients achieve a secure, natural, and comfortable fit.

Essential Care & Maintenance Kits: Each recipient receives an essential care and maintenance kit along with guidance and instructions to help care for and extend the life of their wig or hair system.

Bridging the Healthcare Gap: Helping reduce barriers created by insurance limitations and coverage restrictions that may leave individuals without access to medically appropriate hair-loss solutions.

Community Integration: Connecting recipients with supportive resources and community, helping ensure that no one has to navigate the emotional challenges of hair loss alone.

The Target

Wig Styling and Installation: Lost and Crowned provides approved applicants with a complimentary wig. Fitting, customization, styling, and installation services may be available through volunteer stylist partners but are not guaranteed. Availability varies by location and stylist capacity. Applicants will be notified if volunteer services are available.
